In the extra mode of Jett Rocket II, the player has to collect 5 hidden golden cells to disable the barrier of Cago found at the end of each level to beat it.

When collecting one of those, Jett will show the animation along with the camera zoming onto the golden cell view.

If you pause the game at same time as Jett picks up one of the 5 golden cells, you can retain control while the pause menu is shown onscreen, though it's very limited, since you only rely with walking and using the jetpack.

While the pause menu is still shown, it's possible to leave the level after been KO'd by selecting 'Quit' while fleeing offscreen, which is not possible normally otherwhise. Re-entering the level just makes it restart instantly as soon as the level tilte card ends.
