Continuing the double Contra arcade uploads is Super Contra. Also first released in the arcades in 1988, it once again suffers from awkward aiming ang jumping. Good news is you can jump higher by pressing the Up and Jump buttons together. Cannon Shells can be carried over between levels as long as you do not take a hit.

The last two stages can be troublesome if you do not have either a spread shot or an upgraded Machinegun. The final boss however, is quite easy. Just do not rush it while dealing with it's lateral heads and enemies spawning from Gyaba's mouth and you'll be fine.

Played on Groovymame (MAME 0.236 switchres) with the regular set 1 version of the game. No autofire used.
