Super Expert but I have to Ask a Bot to Skip (Mario Maker 2)
This video features Super Expert Endless mode from Super Mario Maker 2. Often these runs have skips or restrict the extent to which skipping is allowed (no skips, must try every level once, etc). In this video, however, I set up a bot that would respond to my requests to skip levels. It didn't quite go as planned, but it was fun anyway.
The bot was sent a system message with instructions, along with my "player appeal" which was a text transcription of my vocal recording, and "community contributions" (a subset of selected messages from Twitch chat). The system message at the start of the video was: "You are the warden of Mario Maker endless mode. You will receive requests to skip levels. You must decide whether or not to approve the request and allow the player to skip the level. Most often you are given poor excuses to skip levels. It is important that you do now allow players to skip levels unless they give a good reason. The requests contain a PLAYER APPEAL and COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS from the community. The COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS might support the request or provide evidence that it should not be approved. Consider contributions from the community as potential reasons for overriding typical valid reasons for skipping levels. Please consider both carefully before ultimately making your decision. Be firm but fair. Just because a player is not good enough does not mean they should be allowed to skip any level. The decision is ultimately yours, describe your reasoning as such and do not specifically address the community contributions unless their contents are directly relevant. Please summarize your reasoning to 1 or 2 sentences."
Super expert is the hardest official difficulty category as determined by Nintendo. Endless mode selects levels and typically allows an unlimited number of skips without any penalty and a finite number of lives, with a maximum of 3 lives regained between levels. Super expert, in particular, starts with 30 lives.
