Mit Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, auch bekannt als Chomakaimura (Japan), liegt uns der offizielle Nachfolger zum Münzfresser Ghouls 'n Ghosts vor. In dem SNES-exklusiven 2D-Jump-n-Run von Capcom (Resident Evil 7) schlüpfen wir abermals in die Rolle des tapferen Sir Arthur. Das Ziel: Die entführte Prinzessin Prin Prin aus den Klauen des fiesen Dämonenfürsten Sardius aka Samael (Japan) zu befreien. Unser Weg führt uns dabei durch Zombie-verseuchte Friedhöfe, unheimliche Geisterschiffe und Fallen-gespickte Gewölbe. Serien-typisch fällt der Schwierigkeitsgrad extrem hoch aus: Bereits nach einem Treffer zerbricht Arthurs Rüstung und ihm bleiben nur noch seine Boxershorts. Neue Waffen und Fähigkeiten - wie der Doppelsprung - fügen sich formidabel in das Gameplay ein. 2002 erschien Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts für den Game Boy Advance - mit zusätzlichen Inhalten und Modifikationen (Arrange Mode). Wie das SNES-Pendant bleibt der GBA-Port nicht von Slowdowns verschont.
