In this video we talk about the history behind the development of so called "Super Heavy" Armor Piercing shells such as the USN Mark 8 2700lb 16" AP-C shell and their impact on in game play performance. This also covers why some US Cruisers and Battleships have such "poor" arcs in game! While we don't talk about methods of dealing with those poor arcs, we at least explain the reasons why the US chose to go this route vs the more conventional flatter shooting trajectories seen by other nations and the history is pretty interesting to me!
