The T9 Izumo is widely considered to be the most frustrating IJN Battleship in the line. For a LONG time it was one of the few tiers where the USN ship actually beat the IJN ship in server stats because the ship is definitely difficult to play well. The odd turret configuration and angle required to expose the third turret mean that exposing the third turret can take A LOT of effort on your part and can put you at serious risk of receiving citadel hits if you aren't paying attention. I strongly recommend being very situationally aware when trying to unmask the third turret. One tactic to do that is to point the bow at the most lethal threat and find something else to shoot at but this will almost certainly also lead to disappointment because of how massive your ship is and how thin the deck armor is (32mm, everywhere!).
