Super Mario 3D All-Stars: Trilogy 100% Playthrough! (Super Mario Galaxy) - Part 20

Hello there everyone and welcome to part 1 of my Galaxy 100% playthrough, where I begin this new (and last remaining) exciting, amazing adventure!
As you can see, I already had a save file which was my first playthrough from last year, and I had 100% completed the game as both Mario and Luigi. It took me about 19 days. Long but enjoyable game honestly. It was Mario's Icon, and for the second save file, I'm picking Yoshi for something more different!
Anyways, let's start without further ado!
The story starts when the Mushroom Kingdom celebrates the Star Festival that is supposedly hosted once every hundred years. Collecting star bits using a pro controller while I am used to touching with handheld will prove hard for me to get used to, haha. Having to summon the cursor with R everytime seems... obnoxious in my opinion. Anyways, as we progress into towards the castle to meet Peach, we see a cutscene of Bowser's airships invading the Star Festival to cause havoc, ruin the fun and kidnap Princess Peach once again. Mario fails to save the Princess, gets knocked out by Kamek and lands on a unknown land which is in fact a planet. A white star-like living being that turns into a white rabbit wakes up Mario and guides him through this new land, to make the player learn the basics of the game. The controls remain almost the same, and they're pretty simple to get used to. Anyways, the white rabbit leads us to his group of other fellow rabbit buddies, and Mario is asked to play hide n seek, and find the three rabbits so that they can teach him more about his surroundings. This is the first half of the tutorial.
The star people then ask us to go visit their "Mama" in this place they call a gateway to the starry sky.
That woman is called Rosalina, a great new character introduced to the mainline Super Mario 3D series. A guardian of the sky, and cosmos.
We then discover these star people are called Luma and you are given a new, strange power, which is the ability to spin while in the air! That will be a very crucial and useful move in the future, trust me on that. It has several perks, such as destroying breakable structure, getting more height during a jump, it can also be used as offense! Lastly, you can use that power to use a Launch Star to get to other places! There's another version of Launch Star, which is smaller, therefore called Sling Star. The second half of the tutorial begins now on the second planet. Several Lumas teach you basics of the different gimmicks in the game, and some Luma require to be saved. At the last area, we get our first Grand Star, which is the first star we get in the game! We then land on the Comet Observatory, which is sorta the base of operations and home for Lumas and Rosalina. Rosalina claims the Lumas are her family, her children. See, that's what I already enjoy about this game, the writing, the story, the OST! Rosalina then asks Mario for help to help her regain power for the Observatory, which stopped moving due to the lack of juice provided by the Power Stars that Boowser and his troops stole from the Observatory, which are now scattered all across space, in different galaxies. This game is massive, it's true!
Domes are being introduced, they're like worlds. The terrace is a dome, and the first dome. Each dome has their own uniqueness! I head to The Good Egg Galaxy, which is a great environment and has great music for a great world. I get all first three power stars, beat two bosses, Dino Piranha and King Kaliente. This is still the beginning of the game, so there is nothing too hard yet lol.
Next, I head towards the Beehive Galaxy, a great one too honestly. The Bee powerup is a great and fun gimmmick!I got my first death in a stupid way, haha XD! Forgive me XD. But it's very enjoyable so far, at least having more fun than in Sunshine! I only got the first star of the level unfortunately because I was unable to progress any further, it was getting late. We meet the Bee Queen in that level, quite an interesting character. The game has so much more to offer though, I won't back off of this game anytime soon! See you soon for part 2!
