7Super Mario All-Stars is a 1993 compilation of remade Super Mario platform video games developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game contains enhanced remakes of four Super Mario games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) or Japanese Famicom: Super Mario Bros. (1985), Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988), Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988), and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (1986); the last game is the original version of "Super Mario Bros. 2", which was not released outside Japan prior to this all-star compilation. The games were restructured to take advantage of the hardware in the SNES, creating updated graphics and adding sounds and additional save mechanisms.
A second version of the compilation, which includes Super Mario World as an additional playable title, was released in December 1994. The original version was ported as a Wii disc game in 2010 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.
