Welcome to the 01st of 08 specials for Month of Sega II.
Today, we are playing the unofficial 025th Anniversary Edition of Super Mario Brothers.
But you might ask, why are we playing a Mario game in a Sega themed marathon?
Well, this is the Sega Genesis and Megadrive port of Super Mario Brothers, released in 2010 by a user under the name of Mairtrus.

This version of the game features a slightly altered soundtrack than from what we are used to;
The colour palette has that classic 197X television feel that a good amount of us here love and remember (even though most of us in Royameadow were not born between 1970 and 1979, but, digressing back to the topic), and the button scheme has been changed in a bad way, so that B is Run and Fire, and A and C are for having Mario jump, which is very odd to use without a keyboard (This was played on a DualShock 02 controller, where the controller functions are based off of Sonic Mega Collection Plus, so that is why the pet peeve is mentioned.).

Because Super Mario Brothers has already been completely played and commentated on by Roya for this channel, this episode is a 01 Part Longplay, and covers the game in full, without the usage of Warp Zones.
As of Part 011, all new episodes for this commentary will be Longplays, unless if stated otherwise.
