Super Mario Galaxy 2 #73 - The Grandmaster Finale
Here goes. The last galaxy of the game, 2 Arduous Stars.
The Grandmaster Galaxy is not available until you collect 240 stars. Half of those are yellow, and the other half are half green. once you do, it will open as a last challenge.
The Ultimate Test is a mini-endurance run where you will play through a stage of connected areas with a high degree of difficulty. The last area has a gantlet of Hammer Bros trying to knock you off. Tough because you will be platforming and getting hit at the wrong time means death. The comet coin is in plain sight, but tricky to grab.
Note that to move on, you need to have 9,999 Starbits stored in the bank. This flag has been previously cleared by file 1.
The Perfect Run is a true challenge reminiscent of the Melty Molten Daredevil fame. You must complete a harder version of the galaxy without getting hit a single time. Also, there are no checkpoints as well. You really have to learn how to pay attention if you want to get past the last section.
Spacial Note: The floral transition between Star 1 and 2 means that I recorded it about a week and a half later. You are only seeing the successful attempt because there is just too many ways to loose on this (and it saves time).
The location of the 242nd star is actually the entrance to a star in the first game called "Gateway to the Purple Coins" (Unlocked the Red Stars around the laboratory, and was the only Red Power Star to ever exist). Rosalina will appear and you talk to her. Then enjoy obtaining the last star the game!
A message will be sent to your Wii Message Board, and your file will now sparkle with the rank "Master of Galaxies". Also, a number shows up at the top-right corner of your file details. This shows how many lives you have lost while playing the game.
