This is a showcase video of me using Joy Cons like and actual Wiimote & Nunchuck pair playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 on a Steam Deck. So yeah this is by far the best way to play Wii games on a Steam Deck via Dolphin Emulator for some games that require motion controls as well as pointer controls.
It took me a lot of trial and error before I was able to pull this off! Anyone can do this! But if you don't know how to configure this controller setup, I could perhaps help you out if you can join my Discord server. Can't guarentee it, but I'll try by best to help you out with the Dolphin settings if you're having trouble.
