Super Mario Land 2 DX is a wonderful ROM hack for the Game Boy game called Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins. Similar to Link's Awakening DX, this ROM hack doesn't change any of the gameplay or core mechanics of the game, instead, it adds only one very significant thing to the classic game - and that's color! Super Mario Land 2 DX also allows the player to play as Luigi with different physics included. The hack also removes the lag and optimized the base game so it is smoother and more fluid than the original game - a very wonderful hack indeed.


Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins[a] is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy. It is the sequel to Super Mario Land and was released in Japan and North America in 1992 and in Europe the following year. In Super Mario Land 2, the player assumes the role of the protagonist Mario, whose main objective is to reclaim his personal island, Mario Land, from the clutches of his greedy rival Wario. The gameplay builds and expands on that of its predecessor with innovations carried over from Super Mario World.
