Do you notice that my people are at much lower Levels than they were in the original version video? I'm not using Bowser/Geno here, and I'd still have to use items at this point if I were to do that, but all the same, this fight is FAR less asinine.
Gassox, originally known as Mokura, is heavily nerfed, though with the only direct nerfs being a loss of immunity to Jump and Bolt elements, and then added Fire and Ice weaknesses, which does not change his 90 Magic DEF, basically the highest we have seen thus far. Gassox also originally had 10 Magic Evade, which as usual was not imported. He did, however, get his Phyiscal Evade improved to 50 from his original 20. Still, Gassox is easier, though by no means a full-on joke.
Electroshock was Gassox's nastiest threat in the original, as a result of a whopping 152 TMATK, which none of our characters would have survived without the Safety Ring, but now, it's blockable and it's easy to remember the timing (2nd buzzing sound after the top part comes up) as well. Bolt is the bigger concern for Chain disruption, but if you know to block when Gassox opens his mouth, it too becomes a non-issue and you're also nullifying a 100 TMATK attack. However, there is a new threat to worry about trying to challenge Gassox at this point: Solidify, which is all-targeting with 127 TMATK. And Gassox can use ANYTHING he can use whenever he feels like it. Static E also involves 92 TMATK so Gassox can do potential passive damage too.
...however, Gassox ends up running afoul of a problem: he has only 100 FP and no physical attack capability to his name, so if you can do a decent job walling him, he will....run out of gas. Yeah, thank you, I'll be here all night.
Oh, and that other enemy in the original run's video? Well, after recording the video, I looked into an idea. It turns out to work. I'll be sure to show what the idea is like since I would already have to make exceptions to the involved rules for the fight anyway.
