Super Paper Mario marks the last time that story and interesting characters were the main focus of a Paper Mario game, rather than simplifying things to the point that even a two year old can comprehend them. While badges and traditional partners were absent from the game, SPM definitely maintains many of the elements that made the first two Paper Mario games so great, and the elements that the newer Paper Mario games desperately need to reclaim if they ever hope to be anywhere near as good as the series once was.

Despite all of that, today we are playing through the first level of what it a very lengthily (maybe even a bit too lengthily at times) and epic game. If you would like to see more of Super Paper Mario, our friend Milesluigi has actually done an entire Let's Play of the game which you can check out!
