I'm still going for the 2-ALL, but this was a nice run today practicing the pro loop. The pro loop is the real deal. Bullets are substantially faster and this feels like genuine arcade style difficulty for sure.

I'm excited to get the 2-ALL and do a commentary for this game. It's been quite the journey thus far and learning to play on keyboard has been very beneficial. I really want it to be my primary input method going further with shmups. The pixel perfect precision is paralleled IMO.

A couple of highlights for things I've done differently this time are the stage 3 boss where I start at the top of the screen for more consistency. I polished up stage 6 a ton as well with the elevator section and the section I call the "conveyor belt of death" where I now use my ship's satellites to kill the popcorn off screen that generates from behind you at 13:55

By far, the most challenging issue to getting a 2-ALL is the dreaded stage 5 wall boss. His missile patterns are fast and the area you can dodge in is very tight--worst of all, the patterns are RANDOM. It's awful dude. You're like 30-32 minutes into a 40 minute 2-ALL when you face him and it all comes down to a dodge or two since recovery is kind of impossible in this game. Like, it's probably possible but I'd have to spend wayyyyy more time developing alternate routes and I ain't doing all that lol.

On the bright side, my nerves are a lot better for stages 6 and 7. They're really not too scary for me anymore. From here on out, I'm going to do a save state hot key every time I attempt a full run so I can save multiple stage 5 random boss patterns and learn every goddamn one of them if that's what it takes.
