13Goku is one of the most powerful fighters in the world of Dragon Ball. But even he has his limits. In the original series, Goku was only able to transform into a Super Saiyan when he was angered by the death of his best friend, Krillin. After that, he was only able to maintain the form for a short time before reverting back to his normal state.
In Dragon Ball Z, Goku was able to achieve the Super Saiyan form again, but this time he was able to maintain it for long periods of time. However, there were still times when he would revert back to his normal state, usually when he was tired or injured.
Despite his incredible power, Goku is not invincible. He has been defeated by some of his opponents, including Frieza and Cell. But even in defeat, Goku always manages to come back stronger than before. When Goku first fought Frieza, he was easily defeated. However, after training for a year with King Kai, Goku returned to defeat Frieza. After that, he trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber on Earth with Gohan and Vegeta for three years before fighting Cell. After Goku defeated Cell, he trained on King Kai’s planet for three years before fighting Majin Buu.
