0:00 Mario: First appearence in 1981. There's all this 25th aniversery stuff going on now, but he's actually been going longer than that.

0:43 Luigi: Uh... could someone please explain to me why the Colonel is such a Luigi-hater? Does he have issues with a brother in the MGS games?

1:38 Peach: Snake says what a fair few fans have always been thinking...

2:24 Bowser: Cheap movie monster? That wouldn't happen to be a refference to that old (and apparently very bad) Mario Bros movie, would it?

3:06 Donkey Kong: Ok... so this is the original DK's grandchild... yet it's still the same Mario. Seems the Donkey Kong characters are subject to aging, while the Mario characters aren't...

4:01 Diddy Kong: Random trivia, the Nintendo hat used to be a Rare hat. accidently pressed the B button here, so you'll see a random grenade. lol.

10:59 Samus: A pretty obvious fandom nod (the 'how'd you know she was a woman?' thing) but still cool nonetheless. Apparently, it's also a refference to one of Snake's games. (he can tell someone's a woman in disguise from the way they walk, or so I've heared)

11:57 Zero Suit Samus: This one's a little harder to get, but it's already pretty infamous. I wonder if this is what bumped this game's rating up to T in Amarica.
