The time has finally come, Joker from Persona 5 is now available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, he can be downloaded into the game if you purchase the Fighter Pass on the eShop.
Joker is an interesting character in this game, his Neutral Special is Gun, and yes that is the name of his Neutral Special move, just Gun, nothing special. His Side Special is Eiha, which is a projectile move that deals damage over time, his Up Special is a tether recovery called Grappling Hook, and his Down Special is Rebel's Guard, which decreases the damage done to him and he does not flinch. The interesting thing about Joker has a Rebellion Gauge, which fills up over time or when he is hit by an attack, and when it is full, he will summon his Persona, known as Arsène, which will power up Joker's attacks, and his Special Attacks change. His Neutral Special when Arsène is active is Gun Shot, which fires three bullets with each shot, Eiha becomes Eigaon, which is more powerful and hits multiple times, and the poison damage will last longer than Eiha. His Up Special when Arsène is active is Wings of Rebellion, which is a great recovery move, and Joker is immune while using that move. His Down Special is either Tetrakarn, which counters physical moves, and Makarakarn, which reflects projectiles, making Joker a very good characters once you get used to his moves. He is the third character to have both a reflector and a counter in his Down Special, the other two being Palutena and King K. Rool.
Joker's Final Smash is All-Out Attack, where Joker will rush in and the rest of the Phantom Thieves will appear and attack at once, this move is an instant KO if anyone caught in the Final Smash is at over 100% damage.
Now that I have explained about Joker's Special Attacks and his moves, I battle another Joker player. This is the second battle that I did with Joker, first was on Moray Towers, which didn't feel like a good stage to showcase Joker on due to the many floors it had, but Shadow Moses Island feels more like a better stage to test Joker out on.
Another piece of trivia is that Joker is the first character in Smash Bros. to be voiced by the same person as the Announcer, in this case, Joker's voice actor is Xander Mobus, I don't count Master Hand, because he had the same voice actor as the announcer in every Smash Bros. game, which does lead to speculation on whether or not Master Hand is the announcer.
Joker also comes with his home stage, Mementos, which I don't know if it will ever appear in my online battles, because in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, DLC stages are very rare online, and it has happened occasionally, but not very often.
