14Super Spy Hunter is a vertical scrolling shooter video game developed by Sunsoft and released in 1992 exclusively for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In Japan, the game was called Battle Formula, which meant it was not a sequel to Spy Hunter. In 2002, it was ported to the PlayStation and was released as part of the Memorial Series SunSoft Vol.6, which also included the platformer Gimmick !.
The plot is 2525. The UN countries are under the threat of an attack from a secret terrorist organization. Their main goal is to destabilize defense systems and defeat the allied states. The operation is carried out by an international terrorist hiding under the pseudonym "X". The CIA receives information stating that "X" has completed military training and is ready to launch an attack at any time. The CIA sends its best agents to thwart the terrorist's plan, but they all fail. Then they dispatch agent Rachel, specially trained for international espionage. Time passes, but there is no news from the agent - the connection is lost. The CIA then turns to an unofficial agent for help in an attempt to save the world from chaos. His codename is "Super Spy Hunter".
