Hello and welcome to my channel,

This is my complete playthrough of Taito's arcade version of Superman.
Released in 1988 you would perhaps expect a little bit more gameplay wise but back when I played on the original hardware I wacked in a fair amount of coinage to see this bugger to the end :)
This is a pretty standard left to right fighter with a bottom to top flying level to then a left to right flying level with a mid-range boss at the end of the first two stages with a stronger boss at the end of each chapter.

Graphically its quite nice but a lot of the assets ore repeated extensively on each level and the enemies get boring pretty quickly.
Sound wise its ok but nothing to shout about. it's not really a game I would recommend these days but, I guess its worth ten minutes of anyone's time.

One thing to note I had this on the easiest setting because as per even the original hardware there is a glitch whereby one of the bosses becomes indestructible and won't die, meaning having to start again. Not great and funny to have an arcade to have such a bug.
