Superman Returns - PS2 - Chapter 17 - The End is the Beginning (Blind)
5Lex Luthor has been dealt with, but threats still remain in Metropolis. This is the post-game chapter, featuring endless waves of enemies.
Here's what Superman still needed to do before calling this game done:
Find the remaining 28 kittens (Kitten Finder Extraordinaire Trophy)
Beat the remaining 4 Bizarro missions (Bizarro Unchampionship Trophy)
Pick up a total of 500 vehicles (Outstanding Valet Trophy)
Reach 5000000 XP, for 100% game completion (For some reason, the trophies don't count towards game completion)
All that took a while, and was played in chunks, so you'll see me save and quit a few times. Metropolis is 80 square kilometres, with 9000 buildings, and there is no collectibles guide for the PS2 version. For that reason, some of the kittens took a long time to find, so expect a lot of searching, use the timestamps to skip if you want. The last hour or so is mostly just fighting and throwing a ton of vehicles in and out of combat for the "outstanding valet" trophy.
Sometimes I ignore the battles if I'm looking for kittens, but (annoyingly) you can't pick up a kitten when a battle is active. That led to a couple of situations where I found a kitten but had to go and finish a battle, then couldn't find the kitten again (there are no custom waypoint markers unfortunately). Once all the kittens are found, a special cutscene plays.
