Supermash Review - Blend two genres into one random new retro game
11Supermash is a game that does one unique thing. It generates out of 2 genres one game randomly. Image it like this. You like the retro genre of shoot em ups and want to combine it with jprgs. Here you can actually blend these two completly different genres into a new mold.
This comes with a price because even though it sounds phantastic on paper as a developer you need to make each genre very generic in order to make such transitions possible. But on the other hand this approach does work.
Over all, I can say this is a good game but some hickups concering the glitch system in place. I do understand the intention of the developers to make each created game an unique experience but that is something that backfired for me a lot. On the other hand if you like a proffessional presentation, great pixel art and fluff gameplay, Supermash is for you!
