In this Chapter of Surface, Carol Evans is having her 16th birthday. But when her parents had just disappeared along with all of the other adults of Rocksburg, Nevada. Carol learns that it's connected to a missing orphanage teacher named Margaret Lee at the Dorothy Wiley Orphanage. So when Carol found evidence that her father is looking into a quarrel between Margaret Lee and Allie Rice at the orphanage, she went there find her parents. But when evil Allie uses her to transport Carol into Allie's imaginational world, Carol realizes the Allie discovered an magical native American amulet that holds a spirit that can grant wishes, but each wish comes with a price and Allie's wishes lead to big problems. Carol must learn how Allie used the Wishmasters amulet, help the kids of Rocksburg from the rule of evil Allie and free the real Allie from the Wishmasters control in order to bring back the people of Rocksburg back to their kids.
