0What you might not know about me, was that I was married to a man who suffers from schizophrenia, for like 16 years - which is why portrayal of mental illness like this bothers me.
It is very real that kids pay the price for a parent being mentally ill, they are quickly stigmatized unless the adults around them know better. And besides it's not a sign of 'bad people' or whatever, mental illness can strike whenever, wherever - and says nothing about the person's values, or moral compass.
