Do you like games that will punish you for making mistakes while you're trying to "git gud?" No? Well too bad!
An indie game based on surviving a zombie apocalypse in midwestern United States, Project Zomboid can be a challenging and fun survival game. It can also be quite an exercise in frustration as you can become overwhelmed easily if you're not paying attention. While there's plenty of micromanagement, it's not so bad that you're overwhelmed.
It's about $23 CDN, so while it is an indie game that's still early access, it's been paid plenty of attention to and continues to show plenty of promise in the future.

By the way, I continued to play this character for about four more hours before she met her end from me not understanding you couldn't climb through windows of a burned-out building. :~(
