Surviving Mars #5 — Fully-Fledged Colony and Mining Dome
The Foundation Stage is over, and our colony is now officially recognized as being stable and suitable for human habitation! With positive evaluation we can start bringing in more colonists for labour!
Thankfully, we already have an apartment complex being built, and we'll gladly fill it with people. We need someone to operate the polymer factory, after all, since it's necessary to make our colony more self-sufficient. And we need those polymers more than ever, since a rock concert shattered our habitation dome!
Not to worry, though, if we start producing more oxygen than is leaking, we should be good... for a while.
Polymer factory needs to be staffed, so we order a shipment of fresh colonists. We also need the rocket to go for an expedition, so it's two birds with one stone. And when the colonists arrive they will be delighted to see an art store in their dome!
Then we order another shipment of resources, since we're still not self-sufficient enough. And we use this opportunity to order a machine parts factory prefab as well since a lot of stuff here requires them for maintenance and being able to just craft them is preferable to having to order them each time.
We then move the concrete extractor since it depleted the concrete vein or whatever, expand our storage because we're making a ton of food and concrete that has to go somewhere, and add another fuel refinery since now we use fuel for polymers as well, not just refuelling the rockets.
A micro dome is built (although I would not call it micro with the footprint it has) next to a metal deposit, since we're gonna need to star mining it instead of relying on the RC unit and drones to gather metal for us. All of the surface metals were depleted anyway, so the only way would be mining them manually with the RC transport. I'd rather have colonists take this job.

Cultivate your own food, mine minerals or just relax by the bar after a hard day’s work. Most important of all, though, is keeping your colonists alive. Not an easy task on a strange new planet.
