This video is outdated, I would take it with a grain of salt. Since this video has come out they Devs have done many balancing patches and tweaked the AI quite a bit. Having said that all the mods are general purpose and as long as they are being updated they do not affect the balance of the game. Whether to use them or not is up to you, I have just found them useful in my play throughs.
