The good news is that a boss skip exists and it can be done using the second water level. Assuming no mistakes and giving yourself roughly 10 seconds to set up the final part of this trick, this skip saves roughly 44 seconds over the current Swamp Palace route. The bad news is that you essentially have to swim from what seems to be a pixel perfect spot and angle. This is by far the toughest trick I've encountered in this game and doesn't seem at all reliable in a run.
