Home Improvisation is a furniture-building simulator that lets you decorate an entire house! Mix-and-match any of the 30+ pieces of furniture available in the catalog to make your own custom creations. 4 players can play locally, and you can invite an online player to your home or visit theirs. Additionally, the game is fully compatible with the HTC Vive; you can even play co-op locally and online!
Home Improvisation was created in the 2015 Global Game Jam, a 48-hour game-making competition. The team included AJ Kolenc, Colton Spross, Jessica Jackson, and Josh Faubel. This version of the game achieved success when its trailer went viral. It was eventually covered by outlets such as Polygon, Kotaku, and BBC, while popular YouTube stars (PewDiePie, JackSepticEye, and others) recorded "let's' play" videos that raked in millions of views. The game won the Atlanta-area Global Game Jam, although the victory was bittersweet; at the start of the competition, organizer and professor Tony Tseng passed away. The game has remained dedicated to him in every version.
