The creators of Anodyne, a fantastic duology, being behind this game would sound like a recipe for success. And much like Anodyne, the visual, audial and environmental design is exceptional, and the gameplay is quite enjoyable...when it is available, anyways. This game dedicates a lot of time to its story that - while not at all terrible - is not really the most captivating thing. Anodyne was more about its surrealist nature than telling a story, and with this game it becomes clearer that these devs' strength lie in gameplay and world design more than plot development. A good effort to be sure, but you might want to select the start-of-game option that lets you skip the story if you play this yourself.
