Match mode in Magical Drop VI is a mode where you face off against the CPU in a traditional match. Clear your quota of drops first, or force your opponent's falling stack past the bottom of the playfield to win and move on to the next stage. On Hard difficulty, there are 10 stages just like on Normal.
With facing a harder AI means they are more likely to make clears and chains, which means faster stages are harder to get. Also the starting color patterns of drops are not anywhere near as friendly as on Easy or Normal difficulty, meaning you'll have to work just a bit harder to make the desired chains.
