4I still think that it's better to play through XCOM: Chimera Squad, for the first time, on normal difficulty to avoid needless (and eventual) frustration. However, after defeating the first faction it does feel too easy on normal difficulty and it may start to feel careless and not challenging. Expert difficulty provides that challenge, gently forcing us to focus more.
