At least I EVENTUALLY figured out what was up with finding spells... :P

This week for No-Nostalgia Retro Gaming the votes are for the Sword of Fargoal, a VERY early dungeon crawl which predates the DOS port of Rogue (though not the mainframe original), developed by Jeff McCord and published through Epyx in 1982.
