It's almost time for the Pokémon TCG: Burning Shadows prerelease event at the Heroes' Beacon Pokémon League, but before that day arrives, we've still got time to check out some Pokémon-GX from the most recent expansion, Guardians Rising! I've comprised a Sylveon-GX deck for this week's Pokémon TCG Live Online Match, and thanks to the Sun & Moon Eevee's Ability, Energy Evolution, Sylveon-GX is quick to get into play, simply by attaching a basic Energy to Eevee and triggering its Ability (on the first turn, even) which allows you to search your deck for an Eevee evolution of that Energy type and evolve Eevee into that Pokémon. Sylveon-GX is then set up to use its Magical Ribbon attack, an excellent set-up attack that lets you search your deck for any three cards and put them into your hand. It can also attack with Fairy Wind for 110 damage, or its GX Attack, Plea GX, lets you choose two of your opponent's Benched Pokémon and return them and all attached cards to their owner's hand. A particularly nasty aspect of this strategy I'm hoping to pull off is to then play Delinquent on the next turn, forcing my opponent to discard some of those returned cards. For attack cost reduction and healing options, I'm including some Florges and Florges BREAK to help out Sylveon-GX and see if we can come out victorious in this week's Pokémon TCG Live Online Match!
