System Shock Remake - Good Game but where are the physical rewards? Kickstarter Review!
8In 2016 the Kickstarter campaign from Nightdive Studios started to fund a remake of System Shock. The entire crowdfunding campaign was a mess and a disaster with many delays, first creating a remake then System Shock 3 and then a remake again, switching engines from Unity to Unreal or the other way round.
Currently people are still waiting for their System Shock Remake physical rewards of the Kickstarter campaign such as the Big Box Collector's Edition or others.
What is the state of the project and why are we hyping a company that is not being able to finish this project?
In the mean time Nightdive Studios got bought by Atari / Infogrames and while the Kickstarter is still not complete they are creating other remasters of games such as Quake 2, Turok, Turok 3, Star Wars: Dark Forces and more. Still no real sign of the promised System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition which should have been released "soon" as stated in 2019.
