Today I show you guys how to Korean Backdash Cancel on an Arcade Stick (Japanese Ball-Top & Korean Bat-Top). I feel many players still struggle with executing KBD properly because of 3 reasons: 1.) They haven't stopped to think about the mechanics of why KBD works, 2.) They don't have an efficient/comfortable enough hand grip + technique, and 3.) They don't start slow and focus on accuracy and making small micro-adjustments when they encounter problems. In my journey to truly understand and "master" backdashing, I've found that small tweaks here and there in technique and rhythm really does make all the difference--and it turns KBD from something tedious to something very enjoyable and helpful. There are many tutorial vids on the subject but I just want to add in my own two cents. Everyone learns differently so hopefully my perspective on how to KBD can click with certain viewers and they can in turn teach it to other players.

*Remember to not practice Korean Backdashing in isolation. The next step is to incorporate Sidestep Cancels, Hybrid SS/SW, and Forward Dash Cancelling to create a truly holistic movement style--something that is controlled, efficient, unique, and spontaneous.

CONTEXTUALIZING MOVEMENT
**Why do we move in the first place?
We move to 1.) Induce Whiffs 2.) Realign 3.) Feint
4.) Create/Maintain Space 5.) Prevent Autopilot. Now let's think about why High Level players are so dangerous: 1.) They whiff punish so well 2.) They always walk around you 3.) They make you second guess your buttons 4.) They always seem to be at an annoying range that limits your options 5.) They are constantly changing up their options and being unpredictable. The best way to counteract someone with good movement is to have good movement yourself. Good movement with purpose of course ^_^.
