Tekken University #3 | Mr.Naps vs Pokchop (Composure)
68In the 3rd episode of Tekken University, we analyze a clutch game between Mr.Naps and Pokchop during E-League. The theme of this analysis is "Composure" and how to regain it when it seems like the momentum of a match slips away from you. I actually don't think I really explained things that well in the video (I moreso just wanted to show this video clip as a source of inspiration--and towards the end we just talk about random stuff lol)--so lemme offer my 2 cents here. I think that regaining your composure and making comebacks is all about optimism. When you're optimistic, you know that even if you're a couple of pixels away from losing, you are equally capable of winning with the right decisions and reactions. Of course having this mentality is partly dependent on your personality, but it also depends on tournament experience. Even if you've figured out your opponent and have a gameplan for making a comeback, it's all irrelevant if your nerves take over. But of course Mr.Naps is a FGC veteran, it doesn't even phase him that he's down 2 rounds. And that type of composure is something that we should all strive for ^_^.
