Tagg (a product by Qualcomm) allows you to GPS track your pet with hardware that attaches to their collar. From there you can track your pat via an app for iPhone and iPad. If your pet wanders, you can configure text and e-mail alerts. Taking your dog for a walk? Disable notifications but simply tapping a button on your pets collar.
