For my money, this is the worst re-record that hit these games in their glory days. Don't get me wrong, there are way worse performance and mixing jobs, and cuts like No One Like You and Love Hurts that change the key to blatantly account for the performers' age. But this is pretty much the only version I can think of where the entire GENRE of the song changed in the process.

The original Take A Picture is one of the more unsung hits of the 90s, partly because it came out right at the end of the decade. But it's a fairly unique blend of dream pop, Americana and alternative rock that of course was going to be the biggest hit from a band that otherwise made the music you'd expect to hear from Nine Inch Nails' original touring guitarist. The dips in volume of the acoustic and the electric guitars, the acoustic kit kicking in at the second chorus after the only percussion up to that point was bongos, it's just magical, both in execution and tone. I'll always have a soft spot for idiosyncratic hits, and Take A Picture is right up there with Somebody That I Used To Know and I Love You Always Forever.

...The re-record just sounds like a bad Collective Soul song past the point anyone cared about Collective Soul lmao. Cool FBFC though as it's long and repetitive and the drums might have made more sense in RB, but GH never did disco beats well.
