Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel thanks for all your support on my last video. I felt very connected with just a few reactions I got in the comments regarding the announcement of the game’s shutdown yesterday. There was one comment that said NOOOOOOOOOOO which is exactly the reaction I had when I opened the game on March 13th, 2020. a day has passed and I just saw an article that the game was already taken down from the app stores. This feels even worse now, like harsher if you will.

I guess not much has been or ever will be made public about what was going on behind the scenes in the development and Shut Down of Star Wars Commander but let’s face the reality that not many people were playing it. The game didn’t further grow. It was just rehashing its formula. How can you possibly stay relative in a mobile gaming market by just only bringing out new fragments to further tempt players to spend money on crystals? Pay 5 bucks, open the crate and get 4 gold fragments of crap you don’t want because yeah, Star Wars Commander kinda brought the loot crates to star wars in the first place. It even introduced the armory in order to have more types of fragments being available to grind through to unlock random troops. The amount of fragments needed to upgrade troops is insane.

Anyway, I just really think this is a missed opportunity. They could’ve added customization for the base itself so you could also have a First Order base or you could mix it all up to how you wanted. Another thing that I often think of how nice it would’ve been to have little campaigns like the very first one on Tattooine introduced on Dandoran, Hoth, Yavin 4, Takodana and … why not Sullust? A Mandalorian addition. Star Wars still has movies and shows that are being released so it just seems irrational and dumb to end the game unless the entire plan by Zynga was to buy the license to make mobile games and ditch Star Wars Commander after Episode? Whatever the reason, it sucks.

This ending is not cool for whoever might have still had their fun developing the game, but I feel for those who wanted to Prestige their damn base. So here’s a shoutout to you all. You’re heroes! May the force be with you!

NOTE: Didn't mention this: I DON'T think that the game will stay. It just seems unlikely. It doesn't mean you shouldn't fight for it.
