"Witness my power and tremble"

So there I was. I had used my 3 tv guide creators to produce nearly 3 dozen files. My 24hour guides all ran smoothly. But then disaster struck when I ran a standard guide. The first one instantly closed all windows of Excel without any prompt to save. Save recovery saved my "Notes" progress... I tried another guide: "Catastrophic failure". What unprecedented phenomenon caused such a potent error message?

I deleted the errant guides and reloaded the standard creator to remake the files. The correct profile loaded normally. I click the "Create" button. Imminent heart failure: it is unresponsive. My only backup of the creators is from 4 months ago. I open the code and begin stepping thru it one line at a time. It seems to perform until the next action is a call to a different macro on another module... nothing special, just "go run that code points". Excel instantly closes all windows without any prompt to save. This is not good.

I try restarting my computer. No luck. I try running the file on my remote desktop function which is a different environment than my main PC. Same results. I tried deleting old, unused data in the workbook. Didn't help.

My bosses' boss humorously suggests trying from a 3rd computer... so we try from my boss' computer.

It works! It successfully outputs a tv guide. I quickly save it... the tv guide itself also functions. Suspicious. I go back to my computer and try the files again from my side.

Not only do they work, but they are about twice as fast now. I've been using these files for 5 years. I created them from scratch. They have never been this fast.

I do not have time to question it; these are already late and I was setback by the errors, so, I just resume producing guides like nothing happened.

Ultimately I blame and/or thank the computer gremlins.
