Tales from the Borderlands is an episodic point-and-click adventure based on the Borderlands franchise. The story is set after the events of Borderlands 2 and follows the story of Rhys, a Hyperion executive looking to charm, bribe and cheat his way to the top, and Fiona, a con artist looking for her biggest score.

The game is available for Windows and (soon) for Mac, but unfortunately not for Linux. Since it claims only DirectX 9 is required and I'm such a big Borderlands fan I thought I'd take a risk and buy it anyway.

I can report it does mostly work with WINE. It crashed on the loading screen one time out of three, and it crashed every time I hit escape - not sure if an in-game menu was supposed to load at that point, but the video just locks up and I had to kill the process in another TTY. The gameplay itself, however, seems to work fine.

Edit: after installing a few more components with winetricks everything works much better.
