CLARC (native on Fedora 20 Linux)
CLARC is an isometric, grid-based puzzle game done in a cell-shaded/cartoon style (which looks lovely). You control a robot who is busy trying to repair their ship so that it is not destroyed as out of control.
Puzzles are based around placing blocks on switches, which is complicated by your robot needing two blocks worth of space to effect a turn. There are also lasers and other moving robots which get involved in the later puzzles.
The main let down for the game is that the controller detection seems to be buggy and there's no way to override it. The on-screen instructions keep flashing up a diagram of an XBox controller, but pressing the corresponding buttons has no effect. For me this spoils the fluidity of the whole thing, which is especially awkward on the 'action' puzzles where you have to place several blocks quickly.
Overall though the game is good value for money - currently on sale at GOG for £2.59. The graphics are great, the puzzles are reasonable and the controls, while annoying, still allow you to play the game.
