Rift (WINE on Fedora 20 Linux)
Rift is a free to play MMORPG set in a fantasy/steampunk universe - there's magical portals and spells, but there's also giant automatons and weird devices with static and sparks coming out of them.
It's a Windows only game and there is no official or unofficial support for running it on Linux and it's actually quite a pain to get working. There is a small bug in the threading support of WINE which causes huge issues in the character selection and creation screens (i.e. before you get in to the server). A work-around for this issue is to lock the game to a couple of CPU cores, I have a Steam shortcut which looks like this:
taskset -c 0,3 wine [steam link]
Obviously restricting the number of cores in use will impact performance, and it also doesn't always work. So if you're a serious player you may have to stick to Windows. For me, being able to play it some of the time is enough for now and I'll await a fix in WINE.
