Oh well. I'm first gonna quote a few things from the tribute video.
_______

"Let's talk first about his evasion. ToD2 is the game where Accuracy and Evasion have the most effect on auto-guard. Maximum Accuracy and Evasion in this game is 300. On Unknown Mode, Glaslya has 480 Evasion. Not only does he break the limits of the game (because why not?) but it means your chance to ever stagger him are close to 0.
Not only Glaslya defies this game's logics but he also defies the law of physics by being able to start running instantly. Thanks to his muscular(?) body he can cross half of the battlefield in less than 2 seconds making spacing absolutely awful in this fight (even more thanks to his clunky box). Having to react to an almost instant charge with one of the less agile character can make you ragequit in a few seconds.
As for the last Arte... Snipe Storm
This is by far the most bullshit attack I've ever seen and the reason no one bothers to fight that shit.
Snipe Storm is an Instant homing attack that can be used at any moment, at any place, at any distance.
There is exactly 24 frames (0.4 second) between the beginning of the animation and the moment it hits you. According to the "Human benchmark" mesures, The average human reaction time is around 250 ms. Mine is around 260 ms. Does that sound fair? Not at all. These tests don't take much into account and the context is completely different. These tests ask to react to a single and obviously visible change which is not the case here at all. I mustn't simply spot a large square becoming green. I have to react differently to multiple different Artes using different inputs and strategies. Not only that, but Snipe Storm's animation isn't particularly easy to spot either. Now if you also add into account the input delay, you end up with a reaction time much higher than required."
_______

With this done. Let's analyze the fight.
As a said before, this fight starts extremely easy since Glasya doesn't have any real threatening attack. He has a wing attack that can't hit you if don't move lol. Perfect occasions to cast a spell. He has some breathing attacks with annoying range and 2 spells but so far nothing very hard to dodge. The most important is to try to not get cornered since jumping over him is annoying as hell. Once he has lost a few HP, he will start to use that very obnoxious instant charge attack. The best way to dodge it is to use Kyoueisou with the enchant that lets you pass through an enemy. However, you are pretty vulnerable after it so you can get countered if Glasya guards the attack. It also has a pretty weird hitbox as you can see...
I wanted to use Crazy Comet during that fight but the casting is waaaay too long so I had to setup Spirit Blaster to get some invulnerability frames mid-casting.
Once he is below 50% Hp the nightmare starts. He will spam the charge attack and the infamous Snipe Storm Arte.
I won't explain again how BS this attack is... The only thing I'll say is... that it can be dodged by everyone with just a jump. Woops.
Bye bye Reala~ You lost the only advantage you had for such a run. You can go back to the bench of the worthless lolis.
Well, even though this is a universal dodge, it's also an incredible pain in the Fiore's ass to dodge it. The window to escape it is around 2 to 6 frames. And you still need to react in less than 24 frames. Fuck that. I'm totally unable to achieve such a thing. My brain prefers to reply 30 seconds after I ask it anything and my fingers like to push the wrong buttons anyway. By the time I see the animation, I'm already dead on the ground. I've never been able to dodge this by just reading the animation. I was about to ragequit when I discovered that the name of the Arte is displayed 6 frames before the animation.
...
...
THE ONLY REASON I WAS ABLE TO DO THIS FIGHT IS THANKS TO THE ARTE BOX! SH*T.
I spent 50% of the battle looking at the top of the screen while being half aware of what was happening below.
This attack is a nightmare and you don't want it to happen. Glasya has Iron Stance when uses it so you can't even interrupt it. Your only solution is to counter attack. Prism flasher would be the safest solution for that. However, it doesn't deal much damage at this point and you don't want the fight to last longer. Divine Saber is the best choice here. Not only it hits fast but thanks to Glasya's huge body it even deals extra hits and thus extra damage.
Unfortunately, almost all of his Artes are unsafe to counter because they are really short. The breath attack is pretty much the only safe option but I decided to rely a bit on luck because I didn't want this fight to get longer (ie having to dodge more Snipe Storm).
Once he has less than 6000 HP he will chain a fake Snipe Storm into
Fearful Storm. It always surprises me since I expect a Snipe Storm lol.

Glad to be done with this shit. The next two bosses are definitely a lot of fun and I'll be able to progress faster for this run.
