The battle against the almighty Magnadeus on Mania.
There is going to be a change in plans for the next game we play, it was originally going to be Tales of Graces, until we heard about the recent annoncement that it's coming to the PS3.
We've decided to delay our ToG playthrough till the PS3 version comes out, so that we can play it in HD with the new features.
In the meantime, the next game that we'll be doing a playthrough of will be the only pre-Vesperia Tales of Mothership title that we have yet to play, Tales of Eternia for the PS1, our playthrough of it will start shortly.
Anyway, like I said in the Normal Mode video, we're working our way up in the difficulties on this fight, until we get to the point that we can't beat Magnadeus anymore.
This fight was a tough one, but we did manage to win it, I was surprised we got it on our first try in Mania.
My brother has been playing as Kyle, instead of his usual Nanaly, in order to help block Magnadeus from getting to the casters and pinning us in a corner.
I'm playing as Harold, so that I can help heal when we need it, and to cast offensive magic.
Unknown mode is all that's left now, but we're getting horribly owned in it, we've gotten him down to 250,000 HP at our best so far, and we've probably lost at least a dozen or more times now, so I'm not sure if we'll get a video done on that rank.
This is very easily the hardest Tales of boss we've ever faced, the guy is just insane.
The really annoying part about Magnadeus is that there is no save point before you fight him, which means that when you lose, you have to go through the entire freaking dungeon all over again, which can take a good 20-30 minutes...
And, on Unknown, it's easy to lose. :P
I must say, Team Destiny's bonus dungeon designs before ToDR can be quite annoying...
It takes too long to get back to him, which is one of the reasons I'm not sure if we'll get an Unknown fight against him recorded, because it's really frustrating not being able to just reload and try again.
If anyone has any tips for fighting Magnadeus on Unknown, please leave a comment, I'd be glad to hear them. :P
