Notice: Don't take this as a sign of return, but merely a feeling of shame for not yet leaving the hiatus.

Pre-type: I hated this boss and I love it. Jay is heavily TP reliant, just as with every other fight until post-Nerifes, and has one of the worst physical defense stats in the game. He literally takes double if not triple the damage Senel does.
Nerifes is a fickle little guy; his Raging Arrow is insta-restart if you ever get hit (unless you get Ub3r lucky) because it shreds through Jay's hp (around 1,500) like a chainsaw through a Tales of Legendia disk. Raging Wheel...I'm sorry, but this attack is a joke; easily dashable, easily counterable, easily...anything. Raging Whip is another attack made by the Legendian Gods which requires you to have the luck and timing of Buddha to dash and guard before it hits.
Raging Waves...*Sigh*...if only I felt the need to upload the hours of attempts ruined at 2% of Nerifes' health by this attack. It has ENORMOUS range, and does massive damage if unblocked, and he can chain it from basic attacks, or do it THREE times in a row. Luckily he didn't feel wet for it in this battle at all or I'd be in The Corner.
Raging Hammer is just downright hilarious. Low damage if guarded, the animation is WAY larger than the hitbox, and Nerifes uses it in corners and elongates the amount of time I have to move away. Beautiful.
When he feels bored he turns into a...ball. His Aqua Laser changes can mess you up if you can't notice the pattern of where he faces. Ray...well, Ray is another joke made for building damage. At half health, he starts to use Brilliant Lance (joke), Rolling Stone (eh), and Indignation (joke-a-saurus). Wrath of the Sea is a gift. First time I've ever seen Wrath of the Sea used twice in a row by the way...I don't know why bosses choose Soloes to start acting crazy. Too bad Raging Waves is his bread and butter.
On to what I had to do with Jay to do this: Jay's Dagger will ALWAYS dodge Raging Arrow 100% of the time. I actually discovered this through spamming all of my attacks with wanton disregard because of nerd rage. I have a bit to talk about with this though, so suffer me:
Although I mentioned Jay's TP reliance, I spam Dagger. The reasons are simple. 1) I avoid Raging Arrow. 2) I deal damage. 3) Moon Crystal increases TP pool, and thus TP regen. 4) Because I'm too much of a pussy to run up and melee Nerifes.

Despite all the bitching, no boss except for the Royal Scrap made me die so many times, and that was just poor luck. Nerifes is very involved and I can't say any other boss of the run gave me an exhilaration or tough time as he did.

Afterthought: I pussied out. Sorry! I'll give you the promise that I might come back later without the spam. But if I do that it will be enough to watch as a TV show or even a movie.
