"Here we go, Jay. Time to settle this by your own hand."

After Jay and Solon get away with Shirley, the party immediately gets to work trying to find and rescue Shirley and Jay. The two are at Mirage Palace, where Solon taunts Jay's feelings for family and human nature. The Oresoren launch a full out attack on the Palace to rescue Jay, and allow Jay and Shirley to escape (since when could OTTERS beat NINJAS!?). The two return to the Oresoren Village and meet up with the party. Jay admits his need of help and together the party returns to Mirage Palace to save the Oresoren, who Jay finally realizes is his family. When they reach Solon, Jay finally states what his friends mean to him, regardless of the deaths he's caused as an assassin in the past. Of course Solon is crazy in the head, so he won't just sit and talk.

This came out surprisingly well, considering how much of a wreck this battle can be. The main problem is taking out Solon while avoiding the damage that Dark Jay can cause. Solon's knife and gun combo give him reach over the entire field, while the ability to protect himself close range. Hellfire and Dark Laser are particularily nasty, since they are basically guaranteed to hit the entire party. He also uses Death Toll, which is an overly flashy windmill kick that is easy to avoid (and shows where Jay learned Sparrow Hawk from :o). Like any ninja, Solon is quick (and can break dance...?), but unlike the rest of the games' ninjas sans Jay, he can pack a punch.

Dark Jay doesn't attack as much as you would expect, but his moves like Crow Blade, Dark Cloud and Dark Wind can sting a lot. And considering the concentration is on Solon most of the time and his speed, Dark Jay can be dangerous if left alone for a long time. Getting them together isn't difficult, but if you can't keep the pressure up then they will eventually break free and cause more havoc.

Luckily, Jay has a very strong Sea blade at this point, so that takes the challenege down a bit. Staying on your toes is the key to staying alive here.
