"This isn't the time to get all mushy, Red! Spot's about to let loose!"

After killing (!) poor, defenseless Fenrir, Giet actually DOES show up, leading a gang of galf, and attacks the party. After almost snapping Senel in half, Giet tackles Moses, knocking him unconcious and knocking off his eyepatch (one time eyepatch-less Moses skit face ftw). He fortunately leaves, and the party takes Moses back to Werites Beacon. The player gets some Moses-Giet flashbacks, revealing how Moses lost his left eye, etc etc. When Moses finally wakes up, Giet attacks the bandits in Werites Beacon, and Moses decides that he's willing to kill his closest friend to stop him. The party gets prepared and heads to the Bandit's Lair, where they find Giet attacking himself so he won't have to hurt Moses. If you're wondering where the black mist was in this CQ, it's been affecting Giet's thoughts on the inevitability of turning wild and killing his tamer, Moses. And so, this fiend-less CQ gives the player deja vu.

While the first Moses & Giet battle was easy, Dark Moses & Rabid Giet is a totally different story. Like all of the other Dark battles so far, I used Moses, making this more of a pain. Fortunately, the dungeon we just came through had the Paper Fan, a VERY strong weapon for Chloe, and the Persian Boots, which cut all damage in HALF (not GALF). Now that Chloe can actually stay alive longer, having her and Senel more than make up for controlling Moses.

The main problem here, like the first time around, is Giet. He's broken physically, with all of his attacks doing too much damage. Slashing Bite is probably the worst, since he travels about half the field in one lunge, doing large damage to anyone in the way. Giet's damage output rounds out this time, though, with his selection of dangerous spells as well. Seriously, since when does a wolf know Black Hole -_-?

While taking out Giet is priority, Dark Moses isn't as useless as the first time. He gains a few of Moses' arcane eres like Outlaw and Savage Wolf Storm, all which can hurt a lot if they hit their mark. And when playing Moses, it's more likely you'll be hit by Dark Moses since you have to keep backstepping in order to aim correctly, putting you in range of his javelins.

Like the first time around, getting one of them out of the way first makes things 50% easier, so beating down on one (in this case, Rabid Giet) is the way to victory
