Tales of Symphonia GCN Mania Remix: Celsius
13Some fights I'm proud of because my performance was excellent, and some I love because the editing was a complete joy. This is mostly the later.
The strat here is to keep Celsius busy with Regal's aggressive leg flailing, whilst the rest of the team _absolutely destroys_ Fenrir with elemental attacks. This wasn't actually my original plan, though.
First, I actually had to slightly reduce my dps to make it last a bit longer. Between Raging Mist and Explosion, Genis completely eviscerates this encounter. I'm talking 10k Unison Attacks compared to the 5k one we had here. Second, the plan was to fight Fenrir myself whilst the ai kept Celsius busy. Trying to get them to target her was an exercise in futility though, so using my knowledge from Yuan and Botta, I set them to Reduce and let them go for Fenrir.
Fenrir's weakness to Lightning and Fire meant Garnet, Sardonyx and Eruption let the team deal massive damage. All of Fenrir's attacks are also Ice elemental, meaning Card of Ice and Penguinist Gloves gave the girls near enough invincibility against him.
Celsius on the other hand actually deals massive damage with her physical attacks, just look at that Beast! Thankfully her attacks are easy to avoid with a Backstep and Guard is op in Symphonia.
I got Sheena's Tension about 3/4 full before the fight, hoping Fenrir would get her close to Overlimit by the time he bit the dust. With a lucky break, the Sylva Seals were enough for an Overlimit. I keep Regal stationary and Guard Celsius' attacks so the team can get that juicy Acuteness, then it's time for Sheena to slap Celsius into Oblivion!
My only regret in this fight is I kind of let Presea eat that Ice Spear, which by the way is unblockable and inflicts crumple. However, as this fight let me edit the music perfectly, it's staying and I'm a big fan of how it all came out!
